Rita is one of about 5 surviving private launches from a time when shoreline residents came to Muskoka by train and then took one of the steamships from Gravenhurst up the lakes. Rita was built by Minett in 1914 an serves as a reminder of the craftsmanship and elegance of design that local builders have become well known for. Rita will be on display this summer at the Muskoka Steamships and Discovery Centre in Gravenhurst.
