From the Owner

“The Apprenticeship” was built by Jeffrey Breen between 2013-2016 as a spare time project. Based off the famous “Rainbow III” hull design that was among the most successful designs of the 1920’s era, this boat blends new and old styles and hardware to create a personality of its own. After completion, it did a North American boatshow tour where it won top honours at Tavares, Florida, and Geneva Lake, Wisconsin, and also did the St.Johns River run in Florida where her dual-gas tanks provided peace of mind on long days. Also features dovetail hatch frames, arrow-ended cast hatch hinges, an outboard rudder assembly and hand-made steering wheel and throttle knob. She now serves as a sales tool from the Breen’s cottage on the Severn River.
