You often hear about the preverbal ‘barn find’ but this 1966 MFG was truly that. She had sat for most of her life under a mountain of old furniture and everything else you can stack in a boat in the back of a barn. The previous owner passed away and the boat was sold to me by the estate where I was happy to discover it was all there just hiding under decades of dust and grime. From the seats to the hardware, nothing had been changed. The motor is the original 60hp Johnson that was installed by the dealer and the vinyl seats still had the plastic wrap hanging on. With lots of elbow grease and basic mechanical checks (and all new wiring), the boat was keen to get back on the water and run free again. She also has the original Gator trailer that is waiting in line to be restored as well. The ‘Edinboro’ model came with a vented front windshield and the famous fold down/swivel seats. All in all, a nice package.
