1963 Huckins Offshoe 48′ design built by Richardson’s
From the Owner

In 1962 Dr. Calder who at the rime was Chief Commander of Canadian Power Squadron decide he wanted a Huckins yacht. The Huckins yard was so busy they suggested that he could bring shipwrights from Canada to the yard and “borrow” from their design and utilize Huckins drive system, which they did with boys from Richardson’s in Meaford on Georgian Bay. Richardson’s where able to completely  copy the lines of an Offshore 48′ Fairform Flyer and the result is basically a Huckins built on Georgian Bay, totally unique. In 2019 we had her completely restored by Done Right Restorations in Port Lambton Ontario. She is still all original including her original aluminum block 671 GM diesels and Huckins vee drives. I acquired her from Dr. Caldera daughter in 2014 and spent four years fixing what I could before she went to Don-Right Restorations.
