From the Owner

Custom Craft was originally a “kit boat” purveyor to the DIY market, and began manufacturing fiberglass boats around 1956. By 1959 it was offering a line of stylized 14′ to 16′ production runabout boat models – the Manta Ray, Sea Ray and Sting Ray in various configurations. Late 1950’s automotive style elements such as tail fins, curved dash boards and chrome detailing are evident in Custom Craft Boats.

The Manta Ray’s advanced design catamaran hull added to the sleek lines of the boat, and claimed “a new peak of performance”.

This boat, a frequent show winner at U.S. ACBS meets in NY, NJ and Penn., was purchased from its NJ owner in 2018.
