From the Owner

I purchased this boat in 2006 and pulled it out of the boat house since 1960.It had the original Elgin motor and hardware on it and covered with the original cover. When we pulled the cover it had 2 Better House keeping magazines on the front seat 1959 and 1960.The boat was owned by the family that had the Simpson Sears store in Peterborough and Sears sold Elgin motorsIt still has the original varnish and decals on it with 4 more coats of varnish. The 40Elgin  was removed and a Johnson 35 was put on and new seat cushions were make for it while keeping the original ones for show display

The intro photo is absolutely one of the most exciting boat “in motion” photos I have ever seen! Congratulations and thanks!
