1958 Fellows and Stewart Junior Racer

1958 Fellows and Stewart Junior Racer
From the Owner

These boats were built by Fellows and Stewart in Los Angeles, California.  They  were designed to be used by kids 8-12 years old. The boat is powered by 7.5 hp Scott Atwater outboard engine which is bolted into the rear of the boat under a set of engine hatches. The boat has forward and reverse. Permanent steering controlled by the rudder. This is a real boat! Priced at $485 USD in 1958! These were plywood painted boats meant to be used hard. Very few are known to have survived. This boat is fully operational. I have even driven it. ( not a pretty site). This boat was restored by Mark Buck from Poulsen Montana to identically match Knock on Wood. A 1964 Chris Craft 17 ft skier which we also own.
