From the Owner

Know for their quality workmanship, Sangstercraft are thought to be the first coastal boats build with planing hulls.

Initially a builder of wooden boats, by 1957 the company was producing fiberglass boats with a product line that soon ranged from 10′ car toppers to 17′ outboard cruisers. The Rideau series of boats were marketed as “the rough water craft that will be safe under unreasonable use”. Sangstercraft boats still in use are a testament to their durability and seaworthiness.

Although all production remained in Vancouver, boats sold in central Canada had “Toronto” added below the distinctive script logo that was on the dash of every Sangstercraft boat.

This boat was purchased by the owner in 2007, in derelict condition, and restored by Rossiter Boats.
