Per author Peter Hunn, Feather Craft easily wins most vintage marine buffs’ “best loved aluminum boats” honour.
In the years following the Second World War, skilled aluminum fabricators and riveters formerly employed by aircraft plants were redeployed in interpreting classic 1930s mahogany speedboat lines in an aluminum format.
Feather Craft prospered by providing boaters an option for carefree eye-pleasing streamlining and a rolled tumblehome reminiscent of expensive wooden hulls.
